Pie Filling First, then the Crust
Dear Schnorrer,
Living with a family of schnorring men (I have 4 sons), there is one schnorr that drives me nuts. Whenever I make or buy a dessert pie, someone thinks they are so smart, and eats filling thinking that I won’t notice that pie has been eaten since the crust is still intact. Your responses are very clever, so I hope you can help here.
Thanks,
Barbara

Dear Barbara:
Thanks for putting your faith in The Schnorrer. Schnorring is an action that which falls out of the field of accepted norms. What you describe isn’t a schnorr..it’s an appetizer. It’s universal. Instead of being chagrined, you should take pride in your children’s ingenuity. The fact that they are mechanically inclined is a harbinger of careers in structural engineering and plastic surgery. Moreover, what a compliment to your culinary abilities.
However, if you still feel you must take arms against this practice, let me suggest the following: Key Lime or Boston Cream pies. All the king’s couldn’t put these pies together again after a guerilla raid. But whatever you do, remember, “Nothin” says schnorrin’ like something from the oven!”
