Handicrafts are the gift of choice for The Schnorrer

The Schnorrer is a firm believer in the adage “It’s better to give than to receive”— especially when it comes to hand crafted gifts.  Nowadays, the internet has created a trap for the gift bearing Schnorrer.  The price of almost any popular item can be looked up.  However, this is not true in the wonderful word of handicrafts.  The Schnorrer loves  going to fairs and yard sales to ferret out those handcrafted gifts that look like they are worth $200 and buy them for only $20.  The recipient of the gift has no idea of the actual cost, only that the Schnorrer was thoughtful enough topurchase a personalized gift.

The Schnorrer gives a cheap gift, and the gets credit for thoughtfulness.  How about dat!

    Crafts are even cheaper if you find them at thrift stores (I just got some handblown art glass there for under $5) or MAKE them, as in my handknitted scarves made from thriftshop wool.!
