How to Use Coupons on a Romantic Date

Let’s start by saying that there is nothing wrong with using coupons on a date. But, for whatever reason society has deemed it inappropriate when on a date. Here is what you need to do:

1. Be Calm
2. Once check arrives, hand the waiter/waitress your credit card
3. DO NOT give the waiter the coupon at this point!
4. See where the waiter is headed and tell your date that you need to use the restroom
5. Hand waiter/waitress the coupon out of view of your date
6. Presto – Dinner has been discounted
7. Walk out of restaurant at a quick pace. If the waiter has any questions, you are already gone and free from embarrassment.

There is nothing wrong with using coupons as long as they are not expired. I actually would be impressed if more men used them. Better an honest discount or freebee than unnecessary spending.

What kind of person would want to lavishly spend money only to impress another?

    A) putz w/ no confidence
    B) schmuck who wants only one thing
    C) schnook
    D) Alter Kocker or Big Macher making up for something

In other words, spend as much as you want on people you love and and appreciate because you can. NOT because you must.

On the other hand, a guy that is cheap and stiffs a good waiter with less than 15% is disgusting. Never call that no-goodnick back.

There should be a balance within everyone to be frugal and profligate.

Great Point Alexandra. We need more women like you.

I tried using a coupon last night, and let me say, what a dissaster. I used a coupon from restaurant.com, which rule. $25 coupon for $2. can’t beat it…..besides the point. I followed the instructions perfectly, but I needed to spend $35 for the coupon to work, but I mistakenly only spend $32. The waiter came and said I needed to spend another $3 on dessert. I felt like such an idiot. If you are going to use coupons, make sure you know how to use them.
